We are proud to offer a sumptuous variety of seasonally changing food and drink. Whether you are planning a mid-week meal for two or a Sunday lunch for the family, or even a reception in our fabulous function room, we are sure you will find something delicious to enjoy.
In addition to our normal menu we offer our Christmas menu throughout December and January.
We also host wine tasting evenings comprising a three-course meal with two different wines per course. Wine tasting evenings feature a guest speaker and places fill up fast, so if you're interested in attending one please contact us to reserve your table.
We are passionate about wine and whilst our wine list is constantly being revised to reflect the ever-changing wine market, we always offer a broad selection of wines to suit all tastes.
With a comprehensive international selection, including some of the best drinking wines available from Chile and Argentina, we also serve Italian whites, Sicilian reds, Spanish Rioja and our French blends come from one of the largest and oldest wineries in France, Patriarche.
In addition to our wine tasting evenings we offer a 'wine tasters eight': choose a 250ml glass of wine from a selection of four reds and four whites and once you have bought all eight glasses – leaving your comments on each – you can choose a bottle from the list for free.
Being a Wadworth pub our range of draught beer caters for a variety of tastes.
Full bodied and distinctive, 6X remains one of the South's most famous beers. The beer is mid-brown in colour, malty and fruity with balancing hop character.
Easy drinking all year round and robust enough to accompany most foods, Horizon is light in colour, but full flavoured and best enjoyed cool.
This golden brown beer, named after Henry Wadworth, has a good balance of flavour and a long lasting aftertaste, becoming biscuity. A good session beer.
A golden brew with an intriguing aroma from the Saaz and Styrian Goldings hops. The full flavour is balanced with hop bitterness giving a clean finish for easy drinking.
A beer of full body and robust bitterness with a fiery amber hue - just the stuff for dragon slaying! The palate is crisp and tangy, leading to a long dry 'digestive biscuit' finish with hints of orange and blackcurrant.
A classic English ale to celebrate the hard work and fruits of our agricultural industry. A rewarding beer after a hard day's work.
Unkilned green hops used within hours of picking impart a surge of cleansing orange zest flavours and refreshing bitterness which balances the malt-sweet palate of this pale harvest ale.
With a gentle rum aroma and dark, unrefined sugar adding a rich smoothness, it is a full-bodied, deep copper coloured ale with a base of crystal malt and delicate Fuggles and Goldings hops.
Wadworth's winter beer. Rich copper brown in colour with a strong malty aroma and a full bodied, intense flavour.
Please note this selection of beers is a sample of the Wadworth range and they will not all be available at the bar at the time of your visit.
